Marigold + Aster Hair Collective (“we”, “us”) is the business of Christina Gallant-Nisble, registered in Ontario as Marigold Aster Hair Studio. We respect your privacy. This policy covers marigoldandaster.com and Sage & Citrine Wellness, the wellness studio inside our space. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

This website has no forms. You can visit every page without telling us anything about yourself.

When you reach us by email, phone, text or Instagram, we get your name, your contact details and what you tell us about the visit you want. New colour guests also fill in a short pre-visit intake form with hair photos, inspiration pictures and their hair history before a first visit.

When you book or pay online, Square handles your details under its own policy. It collects your name, your contact details and the appointment you pick. Our website host also keeps standard technical logs, like your IP address, your browser type and the pages you view. Those logs keep the site running and secure.

Why we collect it

We use your information to answer you, book and plan your appointment, take your deposit, and keep the records the law asks us to keep. We do not sell, rent or trade your information. Ever.

Who sees it

Only our team at Marigold + Aster. A few outside services help us run the website and our bookings:

• Netlify hosts this website and keeps the technical logs. Netlify’s privacy policy
• Google (Gmail) holds the emails you send us, and Instagram (Meta) holds the direct messages. Google’s privacy policy, Meta’s privacy policy
• Square will handle our online booking, deposits and the pre-visit intake form once online booking is switched on. When you book, pay or fill in a form through Square, it handles your details under its own policy. Square’s privacy policy

Where it is stored

Netlify, Google, Meta and Square are not Canadian companies. Your information may be stored or processed outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, the laws of that country apply to it.

Cookies

This website does not use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Square may set the cookies it needs when you book on its pages.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it to look after you and to meet our legal and tax record rules. After that, we delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you. You can also ask us to correct it or delete it. Send us a note and we will reply within 30 days.

If you are not happy with how we handled your request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
